NiQuesha completed her cosmetology program at Huron Valley Beauty Academy in high school and received her license in 2001. She began her career as a hairstylist, also performing facial waxing and manicures/pedicures. In 2017, she started specializing in body waxing at European Wax Center in Ann Arbor. After a year, she founded The Traveling Waxer in her home in February 2018. Due to quickly growing clientele, she moved to a rented suite by November 2018.

NiQuesha also holds a B.A. in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Eastern Michigan University (2012). In 2023, she expanded her expertise by completing electrolysis training at Bloomington Electrolysis and became a licensed electrologist in May 2024.
